How Would You Structure This?

Sometimes there are so many ways to accomplish the same thing with IQ that the challenge is deciding on the best way.

Let's assume you outline your items in this "OGPT" manner:
Objectives
- Goals
-- Projects
---Tasks

And let's assume:
1. You want to have dedicated grids which represents each.
2. You want each grid to show the associated child items, but not parent items.  So you want the Objectives grid to show the entire outline.  But you want the Goals grid to display the outline of Goals, Projects and Tasks, but NOT show Objectives.  And so on.

A. Would you use dedicated check mark fields for O, G, P and T?  Or would you use a single pop-up field where you select a value of O, G, P or T?  And why?

Drag file links to HTML pane?

Submitted by WayneK on 2016/05/12 15:56
Is it possible to drag file links directly from a file manager to the HTML pane?  I haven't been able to get it to work.  An icon pops up on the cursor like it's going to do something, but when when I release the drag, nothing happens.

It does work for the grid but even there it's not ideal because it makes you type in a link name each time.  By default, shouldn't it insert the file name?

I use file links a lot and it's pain to have to navigate to the file location inside the link dialogue each time.  It's a little easier to copy the path in the file manager and paste that into the link dialogue, but even that's extra steps.

I drag and drop browser links all the time, and it'd be nice to be able to do that with file links, too.

Column filter : if I refresh 2 times, the second time, the filters is erased.

 - Sample DB in vanilla v76
- Adrsbook
- Normal outline view mode
- Ctrl+G : "clark"
- You should at least see the "Joe clarkes" TLI (maybe more stuff, depending on your filter settings)
- Press F5. Fine.
- Press F5 again: filter goes away.

I don't think this should happen.

(BTW : I like the new column filter nomenclature/structure -- much clearer.)

Trying to set a column font

Submitted by DavidF on 2016/05/10 16:45
hi,

I'm trying to set a column font to be fixed-width so i can enter code... I've had a look at this thread: http://www.sqlnotes.net/drupal5/index.php?q=node/3172, which is mainly about column colour but it's a similar idea. I gather from this thread it isn't straightforward but It seems you can do it via Grid Properties, however I can't work it out. There's a box where you can set "default font", and then another box where you can choose what field(s) you can apply "item font" to. I'm just not clear on what's going on here. Default font is the font for the whole grid, right?
