Link to Outlook Office 365

Hi Pierre,

I have Outlook Office 365. I used launched the Registry modifier OutlookPrototocol2016. I am able to drag and drop or copy and paste the Email file from Outlook to IQ. It appears to set up a hyperlink. However, when I click on it it does not link over to the email in Outlook.

- Is this not possible using Office 365?

Thank you.

Greg

The Doc pane (and its little brother, the Item Editor) are ideal places to store images, either as part of a larger document, or as a simple viewer of images.

Sort and filter by level

One for the wishlist: I wish I could define separate sort and filter criteria for each level shown in the grid.  I now use the source bar, and have to invent combinations of filters and sorts so that each level shows the items that I want.  Where it goes wrong is at the lower items levels, it filters out items that I want to keep because it is applying a higher level filter.  Using "| "to filter sub-items is an all-or nothing toggle.

Ideally I would like a control that looks something like:

Tab groups question

You can have either vertical or horizontal tab groups, but you can't have both.

Naturally, I'd like to have 4 groups arranged in a 2x2 grid, which isn't allowed.

Tabs can be detached to create a 2x2 grid but that isn't the same as having 4 windows, each of which can have multiple tabs.

Is there some other way to accomplish this that I'm not thinking of?

Esc erases text

Submitted by WayneK on 2022/03/25 23:29

1) Start typing text in item cell.

2) Hit "Esc".

3) All typed text is erased and cannot be recovered with "undo".

I don't think it's supposed to do that, is it?

It doesn't happen every time but I've had to retype text quite a few times.  I don't know why, but somewhere along the line I got in the habit of hitting Esc to exit editing.

Use of "and" and "or" in conditional formatting for [ItemTags] contains ("A" and "B")

Hi, I'd appreciate your help.
I tested two different conditional formatting for the main "Item" field (ID 1).
I expected the background color becoming RED (BackColor=&H0000FF).

[ItemTags] contains ("1now" and "2soon")
[ItemTags] contains ("1now" or "2soon")

Something is wrong with the syntax, since all items are becoming RED, as shown in the screen-recording below.

Instead, I'd expect the following output according to each syntax:

Moving items long distances

Just needed to move an item from near the top to the bottom of a list with over 500 items.  Couldn't figure out an easy way to do it so I'm hoping to learn something new.

1) Dragging is great over short distances but not a long list.  You can't can't drag to the bottom of the screen and continue scrolling down.  You have to release the item, manually scroll down, re-select the item, and repeat.

2) Keyboard alt-down arrow takes a long time.

3) There are more convoluted methods better avoided because of the extra steps (eg assigning sort numbers to a text field).

Cursor placement in edit mode

Suggestion:

Clicking to the right of existing text = cursor goes to end of text (instead of beginning)

When editing, I usually, want to place the cursor at the end of the existing text.  I used to do that by double-clicking in the open space to the right of the text.  Now that puts me at the beginning of the text instead of the end.

To start at the end, you have to precisely place the cursor at the end of the text.  If you're off by the tiniest amount to the right, the cursor goes to the beginning of the text.
