Don't know if this is a bug or just the way it works, but if you make an inline link to a PDF file, the link won't work if the file name includes an apostrophe.  Took some experimenting to figure out why I couldn't get a link to work.

Pierre, I see you've been helping convox with getting Treepad data into IQ.  I have a colossal bookmark collection in Linkman and I've been trying to figure out how to get it into IQ.  Linkman is no longer developed.  Linkman has a number of export options but unfortunately no option to export to OPML or OML.  But the LMD data format seems quite simple.  The hierarchy of bookmarks is stored with tags as follows.  The lines are not indented with tabs and are terminated by CRLF.  Encoding is ANSI.

I'm trying to add a few new fields in the Manage Fields dialog.

1.  Clicked the New button.

2.  Typed a field name in the Name text box in the upper right corner of the dialog.

3.  Selected Text as the field type.

4.  Clicked the Save button.

Nothing appeared in the field list, until I clicked in the field list.  Then the fields I tried to add finally appeared in the list - twice as shown below.  Should the field appear in the list immediately on clicking the save button (or before), and only once, without needing to click on the list?

I just noticed the F1 link in the lower right hand corner of the Find and Replace dialog and clicked it, and the Help page about Find and Replace opened in my browser.  That's great!  Is that implemented throughout IQ?

Pierre, is multiple surfaces relatively high on "the list"? 

I have my surface successfully showing some family relationships, and I want it specifically for this and I don't want to alter it.

I would now like to have another surface. I'm making a reference for my thumbpad and ; I've tried cardview and mapview for it, and it's pretty good, but I think surface would be better. 

Is the plan to have an infinite amount like the grid, or a finite amount?

Hi IQ Users !

Currently in IQ, hierarchies show parent - child links. There are however many other links that could benefit from a visual representation (grid, 2-D surface, etc), such as:

1) Change color of one section of item text (remainder stays black).  Color cannot be changed again.  Text has to be deleted and retyped before color can be changed.

2) Changes in back color don't show unless view is refreshed.

3) Select and copy section of colored text (not black).  Paste text in another item.  Text color is lost and has to be manually re-assigned each time.

All above is in WYSIWYG.

How do you search in the online user manual?  If I use the search tool, it only shows threads with the word, not user manual entries.

Also was unable to get Google site search to work.

If not a keyword search, maybe an alphabetical index of topics?

Right now, if the word doesn't show up on the home page, I have to resort to flipping through manual sections trying to figure out where it is.
