Keying issues – possibly connected with the use of AZERTY keyboard?

Submitted by gregory on 2015/02/15 01:15
There are a number of issues in InfoQube which may be associated with the use of AZERTY keyboards (used in most French-speaking countries, and to be contrasted with QWERTY keyboards, as used in the US and in the UK). I am sorry that I have not previously documented these (and I cannot currently remember them all, sorry!). Among these issues are the following:
  1. When entering text, holding down the shift key in order to type a sequence of upper-case letters, the first character typed is capitalised but the second and subsequent are in the lower-case equivalent of the key. Thus if wishing to type AERO, what is displayed and stored is Aero. The workaround is to release the shift key on the second character typed, and then to hold it down again. The second and subsequent characters are then in upper-case.
I may need to add to this list.

Split Item not working for me - prerel40

Submitted by jimspoon on 2015/02/11 15:50
The Split Item function is not working for me in prerel40.  I tried using the Ctrl+Shift+S shortcut and also the Item > Split Item menu option.  Neither worked.  Instead, a new blank item appears below the item I tried to split, but all the text remains in the source item, and the cursor moves to the beginning of the source item.

I also shut down AutoHotKey to see if that would make a difference, but it did not.

easy duplication of value for multiple items, spreadsheet style - ctrl+c, ctrl+v

Would anyone be interested in being able to to duplicate column values in different items, spreadsheet style?  e.g highlight a column value, press Ctrl+C, then use Shift+arrows to highllight multiple cells in that coumn, then press Ctrl+V to duplicate that value in those cells?

I just realized it can be done another way - highlight all the items to which you want the value to be duplicated, then enter the value into that column/field in the properties pane or a form.

Still I wonder if it might be a nice addition to be able to do it spreadsheet-style as i have described above.

  • Fixed: Options dialog: Focus sometimes jumped around

InfoQube crashing

Submitted by plp on 2015/02/05 13:09
InfoQube keeps crashing, Version 0.9.26Pre-Rel39 and gets access errors.  When I am in another program and it is has been open for more than an hour it will crash.  Entering item information sometimes causes access errors and I have 3 or 4 grids open, image attached.
