Image sizing problem in HTML pane

Submitted by WayneK on 2014/07/28 09:16
When I paste an image in the HTML pane, It's often necessary to resize it because it comes in too large vs the surrounding text.
This is done by selecting the image then grabbing the handle in the lower right corner and dragging it until I get the desired size.

Sometimes when I select the image no handles appear, making it impossible to re-size it.  Other times, the handles appear but when I try to re-size the image it does a variety of weird things like changing shape or becoming detached from the cursor drag point and getting bigger when it should get smaller.

Table re-sizing problem

Submitted by WayneK on 2014/07/28 08:30
Table re-sizing isn't working well for me.  You should be able to re-size the columns and rows by hovering the cursor over the appropriate line until it changes to a double-arrow.  Then you drag the line to where you want it.

It's difficult for me to get the double-arrow icon to appear the way it should.  The cursor has to be in just the right spot then many times the double arrow will flicker on then immediately go off.  Other times it never shows up at all.

I'm using release 29a.

Losing work in HTML pane

Submitted by WayneK on 2014/07/26 17:16
There appears to be a bug related to images in the HTML pane, at least on my system.  I've been taking notes today.  Sometimes I find it easier
to do an image capture using FS Capture and then paste the image in the HTML pane.  A few minutes ago I found that an image I'd pasted earlier was gone.
Then I found that all the images I'd pasted all day are gone.

I've confirmed that whenever I paste an image in the HTML pane, move to another item, then return to the first item, the image has disappeared.  Restarting InfoQube did not fix it.

I have to admit I'm growing increasingly frustrated with losing work in InfoQube.  This is just the latest example.  In an unrelated incidenI earlier today, I created a subtopic and typed in some notes in the HTML pane.  I went on to another item to work on.  When I looked down, the previous subitem and all its notes had disappeared.

Where can I review database error messages?

Submitted by lucasd on 2014/07/25 09:30
A pop-up message appeared and then disappeared in IQ so quickly that I wasn't able to read it carefully, but it said something about a database error in reading the data for an item, and it recommended doing a database repair. How can I review this message? Are such messages logged somewhere? I checked "ErrorLog.txt" and it doesn't appear there. Is there another log somewhare, or is there a way to activate such a log?

Thanks,

Lucas

Database repair

1. Go to the Tools menu and start a datbase repair
2. Dialogue opens. Click repair IQ database.
3. Another dialogue opens showing that the repair is running.
4. Repair completes. Dismiss the second dialogue box.
5. The first dialogue box remains. I would expect it to close when dismissing the repair completed dialogue is closed.

Export

Is there any way to export to Ecco Pro? Columns need to be included. CSV files will not suffice because the outline structure is not preserved.

Thanks.

Properties pane

Submitted by Jon on 2014/07/24 14:11
Hi Pierre:

Is it possible to get the properties pane to stop scrolling to a new location every time I make an entry in all fields? The return to thee top is counter-productive and disorienting. I know this has been mentioned before and I think it was supposed to be fixed.

I can buy a boat anchor if that would help.

Thank you.
