auto edit

Has anyone experienced a situation wherein IQ decides to jump into auto-edit mode?  This happened to me a couple of times today. Sorry to say I can't replicate it at will but to get out of it, I toggled auto-edit (which was off) on & then off again.

collapse an item @ any point in the hierarchy

Submitted by jan_rifkinson on 2009/07/20 19:42
Maybe I have this wrong but it appears to me that the user can only collapse a local (not the entire grid) hierarchy from a parent or grandparent, etc.
In the example below the user would have to be focused on AAA, BBB or CCC.

Example.

AAA
  BBB
     CCC
         ddd
         ddd
         ddd

I'd like to be able to successively close 'ddd' right from that level (or any point in the hierarchy) so that -- for example --

<CTRL>+ - would collapse hierarchy to CCC level
<CTR:>+ - - would collapse hierarchy to BBB level
<CTRL>+ - - - collapse hierarchy to AAA level

The reverse would be true for expanding a hierarchy

[MAJOR BUG] losing HTML data when (half) trying to convert to MHT

I'm only now after manually creating the F7 & F8 keys for next/prev item when HTML pane has focus.
In testing (also trying to reproduce Armando's bug report Keyboard cursor disappears from the HTML pane when using keyboard shortcut to navigate in grid (f7-f8, etc.)) I had the following problem

Bug (I've reproduced it a few times) is:
with text in HTML pane click Menu > File > New MHT doc.
This brings up a dialogue box - click the x in the titlebar - you lose the contents of the HTML pane

After this, I cannot get the cursor to show in the HTML pane - have to restart, sometimes even then I cant get focus in HTML pane - it's almost like that item is damaged - if I first attempt to click in it's HTML pane I seem to lose the capacity to click in the HTML pane anywhere.

Ctrl+Z doesnt seem to work.

After restart, and if I first attempt to click in the 'lost' HTML pane, the pane switches to browser mode (w

How about a forum devoted to "Running InfoQube on Alternative Platforms"?

Submitted by MauiKeith on 2009/07/19 22:09
I think it would be helpful to have a form devoted to getting InfoQube to run on alternative Windows API platforms such as Wine or ReactOS.

A great number of Windows programs can be gotten to run correctly on these alternative platforms, and the process of doing so sometimes reveals subtle unnoticed bugs, resulting in more robust, sturdier code.

A separate forum would give a place to discuss and solve these issues, without cluttering the main discussions.

The result is that InfoQube would be sturdier, more robust, and would run on a wider variety of platforms using the same code base.

Seems like a win-winsiuation all around.
