[SOLVED !] Can't open more than six-seven grids at a time -- 7th or 8th grid freezes or crashes IQ

I also tried with a New DB.

I know there was an issue with opening several grids... is 6-7 the upper limit ? I thought it was more than that.

Anybody else can confirm that problem ? (I can provide a screencast on demand)

Well... after a few days delay, here is version 0.9.24G. Download it here!

Main new features are :
Main bug fix :
  • Quick search not showing "Shown In" (in 0.9.24F)
I'll be off to Quebec City for the week-end, so if there are serious issues with this latest version, users can fall back on 0.9.24F, which is very stable.

Enjoy !

Locked columns : display bug with fields/columns using conditional formatting

an image is worth lots of words... :

See how the red field (the "CUS" column -- which is in fact "FOCUS"... but the 2 first letters have already been scrolled away...) goes over the "Urg..." column ?

It does that to any field that's been conditionally formatted -- a lot, in my case -- when scrolling horizontally.

Problem changing default font colour

Submitted by ThomR on 2009/09/18 09:57
Forgive me if this has already been addressed in the forums... my searching was unsuccessful.

I'm having problems changing the default font colour. Under 'Grid>Properties>Options', the 'Default Font' field has a colour option, but changes from black don't seem to stick (reopening the dialogue shows the font colour back at black). Is something interfering with this setting that I might change, or is there another tack to take? Thanks for any responses.

The attached IQBase is a subset my "Daily" grid I re-created from my working database. I'm very happy with this now. Maybe someone will find it or some concept in it useful.

I use this Daily grid to (daily!) quickly jot a few notes about the day, and what transpired. If I get verbose, I enter additional info in the HTML pane.

This is amazingly useful to know what happened on a given date in the past. I can't remember dates very well, and this compensates.

Note:
The Date field is entered manually by double-clicking. If I'm entering at a later date, I pick the appropriate date.
The Day, Month and Year fields are calculated  via "Smart Fields", and come in extremely handy when I want to filter a column. See Smart Fields
I can easily column filter by Fridays, in 2009 to see what the meal history is for example.
