InfoQube on Linux

It would be great if IQ could run on Linux (using Wine). If MS Office 2007 can run, surely, one can do the same with IQ:

I'm offering a free professional license ($200 value) to whoever can get it to run smoothly.

(and of course, I'm willing to help in the debugging, providing special builds to help)

Make it possible to scroll down so first empty item in grid is visible

Submitted by Jibz on 2010/08/15 04:00
I ran into this today while working with IQ maximized. In the grid, there were exactly enough items that the last one ended at the bottom of the grid, but there was no scroll bar on the right.

I realize I can use insert new item or insert below the last one or similar, but when working with the mouse it might be nice to allow the user to scroll down so the first empty item is visible?

Roadmap

Hi IQUsers,

Version 0.9.25 is very stable and will be officially released in the next few days.

The IQTeam (!) will then concentrate on the next version. v0.9.26 will focus on the Calendar and will include Google Calendar sync (and hence with portable devices / smart phones), a new event UI and other Calendar improvements.

Hang on... we'll get to v1 eventually

Small Wiki Tag GUI issue > updated

Submitted by jan_rifkinson on 2010/08/14 12:02
Situation:

OS Win 7 "Ultimate"
User has IQ window reduced, situated near bottom of monitor screen
User scrolls available fields
User selects wikitags
WikiTag dialog opens in such a manner that the entire list is not visible
User cannot drag dialog box higher in screen to view

Workaround:

(1) User re-situates IQ window or goes full screen to make WikiTag menu fully visible.
(2) User makes windows toolbar "auto-hide"

View > Grids > Calendar

Submitted by jan_rifkinson on 2010/08/14 11:25
Situation:
user tears off View > Grid tool bar & drags / drops so it is constantly visible

If user selects
View > Grids > any grid > that grid name is highlighted to illustrate that it is in use
View > Grids > Calendar > the calendar is NOT highlighted to illustrate that it is in use

IMHO, should be consistent.

Add a usable link to calendar item & calendar reminder - how to?

Submitted by jan_rifkinson on 2010/08/14 11:17
Example:

User finds internet event calendar of interest
User clicks on an event in internet calendar to bring up specific event w description
User wants to create reminder of event for that on date
user drags / drops URL onto grid creating an item w link to internet item
User adds item w reminder to calendar
User clicks on calendar item > Link does not function

Here's a sample calendar I'm talking about

Outlook Linking

Submitted by Mike3003 on 2010/08/11 22:01
Hi,

Trying to use InfoQube with Outlook 2003 at work and when I try to drag an email or contact etc to the box in the Hyperlink dialog both Outlook and Infoqube freeze.  I have to kill InfoQube to resolve the freeze.  Am I doing something wrong - is there a setting I need to activate in InfoQube or Outlook?

Thanks,
Mike
