Incorrect iten hoisted in 25a

This was a problem for me using my database and my configuration of IQ. To confirm, I tried this on another computer with a fresh install and using the sample database.

1. Open the sample database.
2. Go to item 1.1.6.1.4.2.6 (Item text: This will link to an actual Outlook email)
3. Hoist this item using the toolbar.
4. I now see this:

User Manual
 Chapter 1: Introduction
  Introduction to InfoQube
  The AddressBook
  The Calendar
  General purpose grids
  Sheets
  Typical applications

I am using all of the default settings that accompany a fresh install.

EDIT: Never mind (I think). I was toggling hoist when I should have used hoist selected item. But still... This is a bit obscure.

HTML notes

For the most part, I am inserting my research notes as subitems of parents items which are the subjects of my research notes.  There are, however, occasions in which my research note is too long to be included as a sub item.  (I am not saying that there are too many characters for the sub item; I am saying that the sub item would be too high because of the number of characters comprise within the research note.)  Accordingly, I would add a HTML note to a sub item that briefly summarized the HTML note.  But I do not want the HTML editor to be visible all the time because I am really using it for my research notes.  Would it be possible somehow to graphically designate those items to which HTML notes were attached.  For example, could I make the color of the font change on an item to which an HTML note was attached?  Clearly I could create a yes/no field the default value of which would be no that column would be always visible and rarely with the

I find myself confused again with how the Grid view options work. I don't know if its a bug, or I am just missing something, but its just not working the way I expect it to.

This is with 0.9.25A.

Here is a sample hierarchy viewed in TestGrid. testA and testB are in TestGrid. The rest are children.

testA (TestGrid)
  testA1
    testA11
  testA2
testB (TestGrid)
  testB1
  testB2

#1 - With Hierarchy ON, Full Hierarchy ON, Context Parents ON, Save Item State ON I see the full tree...

forum slow

I'm sorry to say it, but the forum/community site is just plain slow. In fact its often painfully slow. I wouldn't bring it up except that it actually sometimes keeps me from making updates to documentation, giving feedback, or helping out in forum threads. I'll go to edit a wiki entry or reply to a forum, then give up after 30 seconds and go back to doing my day job.

Is it affecting anyone else?

beta 9.25a > disappearing sub-tems after drag-drop (needs confirmation)

Submitted by jan_rifkinson on 2010/09/16 12:25
beta 9.25a
select item in grid "A"
drag to grid "B" & drop onto a collapsed item (step arrow is seen)
dropped item "disappears" into collapsed item (this is ok)
click (or dbl clk -- depending on option setting) on triangle to see if dropped item appears as sub-item
dropped sub-item displays correctly but other sub-items that were there originally "disappear" (this is not ok)
refresh does nothing
closing & re-opening grid re-establishes all the original sub-items, i.e. corrects the display

How do I assign a hotkey to a checkbox (yes/no) field?

Submitted by winter on 2010/09/16 12:19
I am sure this a "newbie" question, but I can't seem to make it out of newbie status.

I have a field called "Stop" which enters the date in another field, i.e. Autoassign rule is TaskActEnd=now.
I would like to have a hotkey check the box instead of having to do it with the mouse.

I have another question regarding this same issue which I'll post as another topic.

Thanks in advance,
Winter
