Big bug : grid reset data entry after a refresh + can't reopen it after closing it (need to re-start IQ) (M)

Submitted by Armando on 2010/11/01 21:46
I have no idea what's going on.

- every thing I enter in my task grid is reset automatically after a refresh.
- I can't reopen the grid after closing it

Some clues :
- it's the only grid where I've used the gantt
- it's the only grid that was hoisted.
- I created a "new window" to have two task grids to work with.
- When I closed it, it still appears "checked" in the grid menu.

<SOLVED temporarily> Gantt : bar covers a 2 day span while duration is only one day.

Title says it all.

start and end Dates are :
2010 11 01 and 2010 11 02

And the gantt shows a bar going from the beginning of 2010 11 01 to the beginning of 2010 11 03

It wasn't like that before.

(Guess I'm discovering all these bugs today because I haven't been using the gantt for a whole month. Actually, haven't been using IQ as much for all kinds of reasons -- health, other occupations, etc.)

Properties pane Freeze : Pressing F2 in fields where icon is displayed results in a "Properties pane freeze".

I reported that before, I guess it fell between the cracks. Maybe haven't reported it in Mantis. BTW mantis seems like it hasn't been updated in a looong while. Is it still used ?

<SOLVED -- partially> Drag drop to slide/move gantt bars has become painfully slow and CPU intensive

Submitted by Armando on 2010/11/01 15:14
Trying to drag more than 100 Gantt bars to the right (i.e. : later in time): it just won't.

It used to let me do the drag & drop (and I could see the bar move) thing before starting to calculate new values, but now it seems to recalculate every single steps needed to get from point A to B, even if I didn't drop the items yet. This, of course, is completely inadequate. And can't use the drag drop in gantt as it is now.

I.E. :
As soon as I start dragging (not dropping), IQ freezes and start processing stuff.
I know what it processes : it recalculates all urgencies, dates, etc. However, what I don't get, is why the gantt /IQ won't at least let the drag and drop happen (on the right date!) before doing any other calculation ?

Clarification of issue with property pane

Submitted by Jon on 2010/11/01 07:54
Hi Pierre:

In http://www.sqlnotes.net/drupal5/index.php?q=node/2058 you said this. "Properties Pane Editing Adding field-values in the properties pane often caused it to scroll, which made it ackward to use. This has been improved. To do this, new fields cannot be added to the Values section. To refresh this section, simply close / reopen it. Eventually, I'll show a Refresh icon when applicable."

Could you please clarify, because I am not sure that it addressed what I said in the beginning of the thread I started here http://www.sqlnotes.net/drupal5/index.php?q=node/2052

Thank you.

Version 0.9.25E is now available !

Submitted by Pierre_Admin on 2010/11/01 00:22
Hi IQUsers !

Getting a release ready is always a very exciting moment for me, and it is sometimes hard to take the time to describe in detail the new features and bug fixes that are included...

So, I'll now take the habbit of creating a What's in xxx thread first, where features / bug fixes are added as they are accomplished. This will provide advanced information to you, IQ end-users and hopefully, better documentation.

Initially, I'll turn comments OFF for this thread, so users know that updates are coming from me. Of course, users are welcomed to create new threads to discuss any of the issues.

Back to v0.9.25E.:

Properties Pane Editing

Adding field-values in the properties pane often caused it to scroll, which made it ackward to use. This has been improved.
