Can I see where IQ backup is, without opening the IQ file

Submitted by Tom on 2014/08/26 07:23

I have a custom backup folder for my main file, but cant remember where it is - I've had an IQ crash and want to get the most recent backup.
Can I see where IQ stores the backups without actually opening the IQbase file ?
Opening the file may modify the backups - probably not immediately but still, I dont want to risk it.

I do have a workaround (slightly awkward at the moment) - open file on a different machine.
If it's not currently possible, could it be 'arranged' ?!

Conditional Formatting

(There are important rules to follow for conditional formats to work properly; they are to be found at the end of this page.)

The conditional formatting feature allows you to apply formats (forecolor, backcolor, bold, etc) to a cell or range of cells, and have that formatting change depending on the value of the cell or the value of a formula. These get applied over the item-level colors.

"Show all subitems" item context menu option doesn't always work

Submitted by Armando on 2014/08/08 20:26
When all visible subs are removed from an item (e.g. by moving them) it's impossible to view the remaining hidden** subs by using the "show all subitems"  item context menu option -- unless one  does a refresh.

Before a refresh, the parent will be displayed as if it had no subitems at all. (This bug appeared a few versions ago)

Of course this can be a bit dangerous : if one deletes the parent thinking it has no subs, it's easy to delete the children too (IQ warns the  user that it will delete subitems, but...  )

**(e.g. hidden because of the filter settings)

Hi IQ Users,

In this next release:
  • New: Google Connect dialog to connect to your Google Account. Use Tools > Options > This Database > Google Sync. Connection test did not make it into this release unfortunately
  • New: Gantt: Can now start adding bars without first creating items. Just draw bars and IQ will create items !
  • Fixed: Grid: While editing, clicking in another column of another item could sometimes overwrite the cell content
  • Fixed: Gantt: Task links context menu was not working correctly
  • Fixed: Gantt: On initial setup, Gantt scale was centered on 1957. Now centered on today
  • Fixed: Gantt: Duration field is not updated when bar is created by adding dates in the grid (see TaskDuration not working here)
  • Fixed: Gantt: Duration field did not take account of non working days.
