WikiTag Hyperlinks

What are they ?
A WikiTag is basically a name, a category that helps creating a reference, a hyperlink
to an other item. Each item can have several WikiTags (have several categories), and each item can
have links to other items' WikiTags (more about that later).

WikiTags can be used as replacements for yes/no fields. The advantage is that there is no need to create the field before using it. Also, all the tags are displayed in a single cell. The disadvantage is that they are more difficult to use, filter for, etc. A better UI is planned.

InfoQube FAQ

  1. What is the Alpha-numeric toolbar ?
    • The Alpha toolbar is a special toolbar. Especially useful for phone books, it can quickly filter the list based on simple 1 or more characters. In addition to the alphanumeric buttons, one can choose the field to apply the filter.
  2. What are the minimum suggested system requirements for InfoQube?

Outline column is no longer leftmost...

Submitted by DavidF on 2016/11/30 08:46
hi,

I think I mentioned this before but I can't find the post... I've found a number of times in a grid that the "outline" column has become no longer the first column but the second, and I am unable to get it back into its leftmost position. The grid ends up looking like this:

I've now worked out this happens when you move another column over into the position immediately to the right of the outline column - the "first column" in effect. In the example above, this is what I've done with Date. So the grid should be displaying: Outline no. - Date - Item etc.

Each time I've moved columns around like this, at first it works, then eventually it ends up like the image here. Once it's like this, the leftmost column (which is now Date) becomes stuck.

double-click HTML or P. Panes titlebar confusion

Submitted by Tom on 2016/11/29 17:34
I dont usually double-click panes, but happened to today, with some unexpected results -- so thought I'd better report.

Double-clicking the property or html panes' titlebar:
After the first double-click, the relevant pane hides the other pane, and may show *over* the grids as opposed to beside them.
e.g. (1) with both panes showing normally: double-click PP titlebar, it covers the HTML pane. Neither shift+F12 nor F12 restore the properties pane to view (although you can see that the HTML pane is opening/closing behind the PP).

Is it meant to make the pane auto-hide?

[0.9.87d] WIKITag List not updating in "Add to Item IQ Base" Dialog Drop-down List

Submitted by ethanrox on 2016/11/29 12:30
There was already a forum topic from gregory about a similar issue.

Mine is that items that are already part of the WIKITag list of possible items and which appear when I double press F2 from within InfoQube do not appear in the "Add Item" dialog under WIKITag.

I have had problems with this since August on one of my databases running v77 portable (64bit Win7)
However, reverting to an old backup of the same database restored full functionality at the time.
I was playing a bit with the WIKITag field using VBScript and assumed this was the culprit, but couldn't investigate more.

Now, with a brand new database (sample iq data) and running 86+ portable on a different machine, I ran into the same issue without the "problematic code".

Does anybody else experience this issue?

EDIT:
I remember using hyperlin

[0.9.87c]Picture inside Non-"Item" Field shows Path as well

Submitted by ethanrox on 2016/11/28 07:56
First - thanks Pierre for the opportunity to have pictures inside fields other than the Item one - it opens up a lot of possibilities!

As I am making more use of it, however, I stumbled upon something rather undesirable:
- if the width of the field is higher than the width of the picture, the "Path" to the file overflows in the newly available space.

[0.9.87c] Shortcut to file not working

Submitted by ethanrox on 2016/11/28 05:40
Adding a file with the following options creates a shortcut file in the Database Files folder, BUT the shortcut is named <shortcut>.<linked file extension>, and not <shortcut>.LNK.
It seems like a link in the File Explorer because of icon and in File Properties->Type of File->Shortcut (.lnk), but when the location of the actual file is changed the target does not autoupdate which is the reason behind using links in the first place.
