Hi IQ Users,

In this release (v0.9.26PreRel50):

can't activate options in Options dialog for editing

Submitted by jimspoon on 2015/04/21 00:36
I was trying to edit the fields in Tools > Options > This File according to the instructions for setting up Dropbox file sync.

However, I discovered that I unable to change any options in the Options dialog except for checkmark options.

For example, in Tools > Options > This File > Background Recalc, I am able to check or uncheck the checkbox.

But for "Auto backup every x minutes", i am unable to change this value from the existing value of 10.  I've tried single-clicking the field, double-clicking the field, pressing F2, typing in a number, trying to click the up/down button that momentarily appears in the field - nothing works to activate this option to change the value.

The same thing happens when I try to select a folder for the "Sync Folder" option.

UPDATE:  I just discovered that I can activate and

Difficult to close the field properties dialog.

Sometimes, it's really hard to close the field properties dialog.
It doesn't seem to happen with a sample DB, maybe because there aren't many fields, grids, etc.

The steps:
- open the dialog
- make some modification to a field
- save
- try to close : clicking the close button makes the button change Color, but nothing happens. Sometimes I need to reclick 20 times, even after waiting for the fields background updates/calculations (I'm guessing that's what it does since it takes so much time to even switch fields in the dialog after making modifications to one).

It's pretty annoying as making a simple changes to a field can take much more time than it should.

Is IQ suitable for saving raw HTML code?

Submitted by Tom on 2015/04/17 15:50

I'm trying to learn (some basic) HTML
Struggling a bit with remembering all the different aspects, and find myself wanting to save (and tag) bits of code for easy reference while learning.

Wondering:
is IQ suitable at all for saving snippets of code (in this context) ?
I mean, seeing as the viewer is IE-browser based: I did save some snippets in the HTML pane and it appears to save & display code okay,
Copy and paste  from there seems to work okay too.

Can't deactivate Column Headers Word Wrap on newly created grids

Submitted by Armando on 2015/04/16 13:34
- create new grid
- uncheck word wrap in the grid properties
- save in grid properties and close the dialog
- everything seems ok : word wrap is off in the grid column headers
- close IQ and restart
- word wrap is ON

Workaround : deactivate word wrap for the item field (right click on header, etc.) and reactivate it.

Omnibox action triggering issue?

Submitted by Armando on 2015/04/15 16:46
Around 1/3rd to 1/4th of the time, pressing enter after selecting some grid or "action" (menu actions,..) in the Omnibox does nothing.

Workaround : click somewhere else -- preferably on some grid tab -- and reclick in the Omnibox and repress enter. Repressing Omnibox shortcut does nothing to alleviate the problem.

This defeats one of Omnibox main functions : being able to use the keyboard to quickly control IQ. This problem has been there since the Omnibox has been implemented and I don't know what causes it. It's a bit like if it was loosing its link to IQ or something like that.

anybody else experienced this problem ? any clue about what could cause it ?

thanks

Columns headers : how does the word wrap work?

Submitted by Armando on 2015/04/14 23:00
Creating new grid based on an other one, the column headers appeared with word wrap on.
I think it could be a good option to have, but since I normally prefer to not have headers taking to much space, I turned it off  and... the grid's word wrap was also turned off (as it was always the case anyway).
and then I wasn't able to turn the word wrap back on for the headers. How does one do it?
Thanks.
