Copying appointments from one IQ base to another

Submitted by gregory on 2011/06/06 04:58
Hello.

I wish to copy a large number of appointments from one IQ base to another.

In the first base, I have a grid called appointments. I select and copy the appointments to be copied.

In the second base, I paste the appointments.

The result is a series of items whose text is a number and which have an appointment set as the date and time current at the point at which the items are pasted. Not very helpful!

Please: what should I be doing in order to copy appointments from one IQ base to another?

IQ web clipper cannot find a running instance of InfoQube

Submitted by gregory on 2011/06/06 03:46
Hello again.

When I try to use the Firefox web clipper, I get the message:

IQ web clipper cannot find a running instance of InfoQube

But IQ is running...

Versions are: Firefox 4.0.1, IQ 0.9.25T

Just possibly related: since upgrading to 0.9.25T, each time I start IQ, I have to authorise the software to make changes to my system (presumably access to the Windows registry). Why the change? And would this make IQ unusable by Windows users without administrator privileges?

I want to be able to assign an item to multiple things in a pop-up list. Can someone tell me how to do this?

See video for example of what I want to do: /drupal5/files/351/assign multiple list items.swf

Thanks,

Dave

Renaming system items

Submitted by davet on 2011/05/31 10:17
Users do dumb things..some times they are idiots (aka fools). I renamed the System item "ThisWeek" to "Test". I don't remember why. But later I started getting errors saying that a calculation could not be done due to a missing "ThisWeek" item. Since I'd made this change many days ago, I'd forgotten all about it. Consequently, It took me a long to find out that the item "Test" needed to be changed back to "ThisWeek." So, It seems to me that idiot/fool proofing needs to be implemented here. That is users should be able to change a system item's Caption but not its Name...IMHO.

No deleting SNBKs after n days

I've had this problem for a long time, and I can deal with it, but maybe I can solve it?
My back up files are in the same folder that my SNDB file so I didn't specify folder. It's not in "users" folder, but as I understand that shouldn't be a problem. What's wrong?
One thing, the path described in "This file: G/Jay..." is wrong from I don't remember even how long ago. But I thought it should be assigned automatically.

Thanks
Jay

Hi all IQUsers,

I'm leaving for a cycling trip in southern France tomorrow. 2 weeks exploring this beautiful area.

Needless to say, I'm not bringing my computer with me, so don't expect much in term of version update

I'll be back to work on June 7th !

Cheers !

Is Customise shortcuts broken ?

Is Customise shortcuts broken ? Seems to be missing at any rate...

under
menu: Tools >Keyboard shortcuts >Customise
-
the Keyboard tab (or whatever the shortcuts tab was called) is missing

Same story when I right-click a toolbar button, or the menu

There was work done on this in version O (Version 0.9.25O is now available !) I actually forgot to check that at the time (or since)
