Thank You Pierre

I am amazed and stunned at what you have created here.  It would be incredible for a team, let alone as a one man show.  Now that I'm using IQ more seriously and really getting into it again, the more I'm learning the cooler it gets.

Going off topic, but I'm always amazed at how major software (think Microsoft Outlook, Apple iTunes whatever) can go years and decades without any cool new features, with upgrades that are so incremental you have to search to find an improvement, yet you seem to pump out a worthwhile new feature every month.

Submitted by David_H on 2015/12/15 12:36
Edit in red: OK, so I just found a thread that confirms that I should be able to open two instances with separate windows.  In my case however I cannot.  I'm not getting any error message as mentioned here....

....it just doesn't seem to actually open a second instance.  Is this a known bug?  OS is Windows 7 64-bit.

I know how to have the same grid open in two vertical/horizontal tabs at the same time, but is there a way to have grids from the same database open in two windows at the same time, so that two html panes could be viewable simultaneously?&nbs

Minor tab issue in HTML pane

I don't know if this is worthy of its own thread but I noticed a minor issue in the HTML pane that maybe Pierre would like to look at as part of the HTML pane clean up he's working on (assuming this is, in fact, a bug).

When you insert a tab, instead of just jumping over a set amount, the cursor also jumps down a line.   I don't see why a line return would be included with the tab.  Maybe there's a setting  for this.

Additional question: I thought I saw a way to adjust some of the text settings in the HTML pane.  Can someone point me to that?  I like to use underlined headers with a bulleted list beneath, but when I do that, it inserts triple blank lines between the header and the bullet list.  I'd like to get rid of that space.

Can't get PDF's to open in HTML pane

Submitted by WayneK on 2015/12/13 18:28
This is a follow up to an earlier thread about displaying PDF's:  http://www.sqlnotes.net/drupal5/index.php?q=node/3032

In that thread, Pierre said:
"Drag-drop of PDF documents was never implemented. In the HTML pane, the way to do it is simply File > Open and point to the PDF file.

This feature relies on 2 components:
  1. Internet Explorer handling embedded documents
  2. Having an embeddable PDF viewer.

Please Add a Few Columns to Field Properties Window

Tools > Field Properties

I would like to see the Description value for fields be able to be a column in the Field Properties window.  Right now you have to click on every single field to see more info about it.  I am assigning basic descriptions to many fields and if the description field could be visible as a column, I could quickly sort on it.  As an example I am about to use fields as pseudo tags.  I'd like to be able to quickly identify all the fields I've set up to use as tags.  Similarly, I'd like to be able to see all email related fields, all to-do related fields etc. and I could do that by giving them an appropriate prefix in the description field and then sorting by that column.

Thanks Pierre.
