Doc Window Help

Could someone offer tips on how best to use the Doc window?  I've been unable to come up with a system that works for me.

It takes up too much space, even when minimized.  And when I do use it I have to manually expand it to see what's there, then shrink it again when I'm done.

So what I'd like is a set up that:

1) Keeps the Doc pane out of the away (gone altogether, if possible)
2) Alerts me to the fact that an item has info in the Doc pane (icon in item cell?  column checkmark?).
3) Makes it easy to open and close out info in the Doc pane (eg F6 opens a pop-up window even when the pane is closed; and allows you to close it again).

I couldn't find anything in the manual.

Any tips would be appreciated.  Doesn't need to be a full explanation, just an approach that I can try out.  Right now I'm thinking ab

Grid of Grids

Is there a way to create a grid that displays a list of all grids?

I realize, of course, that the Manage Grids dialogue does this but I want to be able to add my own personal organization to the list.

I keep my own list of grids but it's a bit of a pain keeping it updated and correct.

Seems like there's a simple way to do this but it's escaping me.  Couldn't find anything in the manual.

Calendar Recurring Event changes not synced from google

Submitted by Tom on 2019/09/20 06:34
I reported this before but (think I) didnt get a response at the time -- so it may already be on your todo list Pierre.

if I modify or delete one instance of a recurring event in my google calendar, this is not reflected in IQ calendar.
FWIW I usually modify the event in my phone.
IQ contines to show all possible events of a recurring event, and misses out on any changes made.

This is a big one (for me anyways) and makes my IQ calendar pretty much unusable.

How do I get an item that I sent via EmailToIQ to automatically appear in the Inbox and or Email grid

Submitted by patteoks on 2019/09/19 11:37

I have followed the instructions for EmailToIQ on https://infoqubeim.com/drupal5/?q=node/2952 and I have successfully sent a couple of emails to IQ.

I Check EmailToIQ Now via the Tools menu.

I can find the 2 items that I emailed successfully to Infoqube when I search for them, but I cannot get them to appear in the Inbox or Emails grid.

What might I be doing incorrectly.

I'm new to InfoQube, but I'm an ex-user of EccoPro for several years but stopped using it mostly because it became abandonware.

Note of Thanks:
I decided to put some effort into using InfoQube after reading Paul Miller's excellent review at https://pauljmiller.wordpress.com/2018/10/23/a-comparative-review-of

sync priority

I wonder if there are any sync services and clients that prioritize - i.e. sync some folders and files before any others.  That would be VERY useful for us IQ users.  I sync many, many files, with very frequent updates and deletions.  Because of this there's often a big queue of files to be synced, and it takes quite awhile sometimes.  This is compounded by me syncing my files to a number of different computers - four in regular use right now.  I checked both OneDrive and Dropbox and I didn't see any support for prioritizing some files and folders over others.

On a related topic - because the free Dropbox account supports only 3 synced computers/devices, I recently switched to OneDrive.  So far so good, even though OneDrive uses only "whole file sync" and not "changes to file only" sync.
