A "parking lot" for IQbases?

Submitted by gregory on 2011/03/14 01:15
I have a very large IQbase (53Mb, about 23000 items) which is currently behaving very badly (refresh time over 120 seconds, a significant increase on what it used to be and so long as to render that IQbase effectively unusable). I'd like Pierre or Armondo or other nominated users to be able to see it. Pending a tidied up cloud implementation of IQ: would it be possible to make a small change to this Drupal-based forum to permit a user to upload a file and to make it visible to the site administrator (Pierre) and to other specified users - only?

[File unopenable] after adding custom colour with html hex value

Submitted by Tom on 2011/03/10 06:26

Looking at -- link to nonexistent node ID 1169 -- I see I should have added a colour's VB hex number

I added a colour using it's html hex number (#F4A460)

File is now unopenable. Will restore from backup & if I have time later, I will try test on sample file**

Anyone know where these settings are stored, are they in the file itself? - I'm currently restoring my dropbox backup - I also have a local backup but would lose a bit of work with that one I think. OK restore successful.

** Is reproducible in sample file - I add the following to the start of the custom colours list:
SandyBrown|#F4A460|

"Context Parents" only shows the first parent.

Submitted by reesd on 2011/03/08 22:29
I originally put this in items, parents, hierarchy, full hierarchy, context parents, but decided it may be simpler to have it stand alone.

It seems that "Context Parents" only shows the first parent. Is there anyway to show the entire ancestor tree? That is how Ecco worked (see attachment image) and using a more recent example that is what Bonsai supports as well.

Using my original example of
testA
  testA1
    testA11

If testA11 passes the filter, then I want to see
testA
  testA1
    testA11

Instead all I see is
testA1
  testA11

Contacts management implementation : precisions needed

Submitted by mjwilliamsmj on 2011/03/06 20:28
The 1. Introduction states :
"Manage your contacts and sale leads using the AddressBook:
  • Enter as little or as much details as you wish for each contact. No limits to the number of email adresses and phone numbers"

Does this imply multi-line entries for multiple telephone numbers?
OR, maybe multiple children telephone entries?

The statement is clear but the implementation is fuzzy.
I d not know what is implied.

0.9.25K losing data

Submitted by d bartlett on 2011/03/05 20:25
Twice in the last week I have lost data.  It seems to be related to the use of Filters, and involves the loss of the most recent data entered prior to the use of the Filter.  When it happens, it is repeatable - enter data, use Filter, lose data, etc.  This is the first time i"ve experienced the loss of data in IQ.  Reported this in Mantis but don't see it in the Forum, so here I am again.  Doug

Import / mapping very simple csv file w 8 records

Submitted by jan_rifkinson on 2011/03/02 15:03
For some reason I'm having trouble with this function.
I read a # of articles in help from first 6 pages which didn't offer me any insight on my problem which goes like this:

TXT file in csv can be opened as Open Office w/o problem. The 8 table is well formed all the data is displayed which to me means the data export was properly formatted for CSV

In IQ when I File > import > select same file (as above), everything seems to be set correctly, i.e.
