Other Views

IQ also has other means to view your data than Grids, Calendar and 2-D Surface. These views are called sub-views as they are alternate display of grids. That is, one typically opens a grid and then selects an alternate view:
  1. Surface View
  2. Card View
  3. Map View
  4. TimeLine View
  5. Pivot Table View
  6. Pivot Chart View
These sub-views are linked to a given instance of a grid. This means that if you have 2 instances of a grid opened, showing different sets of items (with say different filters), each sub-view use the items in those grids. For Pivot tables and charts, note however that to have multiple pivot for the same grid, the source of items must be set to "Use Items displayed in the grid" (and not "Use items from the grid source")
